About CourseShortlist

What is CourseShortlist?

CourseShortlist is an independent comparison site for learning platforms. The aim is to get you from “which one?” to a decision fast, by setting platforms side by side on price, quality of teaching and how useful the courses are in practice, with a direct link to each platform's own site.

How we work

• A platform earns its place through the quality and usefulness of its courses, never through the size of the commission it offers.
• Prices and features are checked against the platforms themselves and refreshed regularly; what you pay often depends on whether you buy one course or subscribe.
• Our ratings are editorial judgements weighing ease of use, catalogue, free options and price.
• The advice is general by design: it points you in a direction rather than deciding for you.
• Text on this site is drafted with the help of AI tools and checked by our editorial team before it goes live.

The complete method, down to the exact data we use and why commission cannot shift a ranking, is on the how we rank page.

Independence and funding

CourseShortlist is free to use. Some links on this site are affiliate links, so signing up or buying a course through one of them may earn us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra and has no bearing on which learning platforms we recommend. More in our disclaimer and privacy policy.
